Two cards, same design

First of all, an apology from me for not visiting any of my "regular" blogs this week.  We had a bereavement in the family which was sudden and unexpected and takes some time to come to terms with.  On top of that, I got a bad cold and sore throat so have not been doing very much other than sneezing and sleeping!  I haven't really had the inclination to do much blogging this week.  My other half came home from work with a block of Galaxy chocolate for me the other day; when I asked him why he said "Because you need it".  I always tell my family that they should make a decision based on want or need and OH was right, I needed that chocolate!

So, onto the cards.  These were quick and easy 20 minute cards.  My mom and her sister both have their wedding anniversaries this week so I have made the same card but with a different colour scheme for each.

The papers were from a much neglected DCWV stack that I have hardly used since buying it.  I don't know why, I really like these papers.  I used a cream card blank and the sentiments were printed on my PC - the swirly font is Edwardian Script (I can't remember the plain font, sorry!).  I used my Nestabilities scallop circle to make a matching frame and added a bit of stickles glitter glue around the circle.  Next some cream leaves and paper roses (glitzed with stickles) and a piece of knotted satin ribbon - job done!

I am entering these cards into the following challenges:

Corrosive Challenges - Clean up the dust (my neglected paper stack)
I Did it Creations - Keep it simple
Oh La La! - Sentiment as the main focus
Critter Challenge - neutral colours (the cream and brown card)
Paper Play challenge - Coffee and cream (the cream and brown card)

Thanks for taking the time to come and visit me!

Amanda
