Craft Your Days Away DT card - For children

Can't believe that I've left it a fortnight between post - Bad Blogger!  Anyway, I'm back today with my DT card for Craft Your Days Away.  We have a great challenge and a great sponsor too.  Our challenge for the next fortnight is to make something FOR CHILDREN.  Remember. it doesn't have to be a card - anything that you've made is fine.

Our sponsor is a great one and one of my favourites.  We  are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps for this challenge and they are offering and amazing 7 digis for a prize.

I have used the lovely Ava Mermaid for my card - isn't she so sweet?  She's been coloured with pro markers with lots of stickles glitter for that added bling!  I've added a few clear dew drops for bubbles and used a MS punch to create the border.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Catz - Anything goes
Fairy Fun Fridays - Anything goes with flowers
Stampin for the Weekend - Sparkle and Shine
Crafty Creations Challenges - for little girls
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes

Craft Your Days Away DT card - add some Metal

Yellow is not a colour that I pick very often, but I'm always pleased when I do.  I've made today's card for Craft Your Days Away challenge - add some metal (I've added the little tree charm).

We are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs for this challenge - pop over to the challenge blog for some of the DT designs using their images.   Unfortunately I've had a couple of printer problems so I've had to use one of my already printed digis and I chose an Elisabeth Bell one.

I've coloured the image with pro markers and used papers from a Kay and Co pad which I've had since forever!  The ribbon was part of a magazine freebie and the charm was in a £-shop pack.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sketch and Stash - Sketch + new digi and old papers
Card makin momas - make it girly

Thanks for looking,

Amanda

Ruby's Rainbow - Birthday Cake

Its my turn to set the challenge for this fortnight over at Ruby's Rainbow and, silly me, I forgot to set this post to publish on time.  Better late than never I suppose!

Anyway, it is our first birthday celebrations with this challenge - so I chose something I really love ..... Birthday Cake.  Pop over to the challenge blog to see all of the lovely creations from the DT.

I've chosen a LOTV stamp, which I stamped out with Memento London Fog and coloured with pro markers.  The papers are from the Tea House collection by Dovecraft, as is the little cake brad.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Ribbon or twine
Love to create - Birthday
Stampalot Challenge - Happy Birthday

Easter vintage boot sale bargain

We went to an Easter Vintage gathering this weekend, where there were lots of vintage cars, bikes and trucks.  There were also traction engines and old fashioned amusements.  I couldn't resist having a little mooch around the stalls to and found a bag of about 200 vintage postcards for a bargain price of £5.  As I could only see a few of them in the bag when I paid for them, it was a bit of a lucky dip when I got home to see what I'd got for my fiver!  However, I wasn't disappointed at all - there are some superb vintage postcards in there, which, one day I will scan and use in my card making (that's the plan anyway).  Some of them, the backs are as decorative as the fronts and will make great scanned backgrounds for my card making.

I've spent hours looking through them and reading the messages and admiring the beautiful handwriting.  The oldest post mark I've found is from 1906 - an amazing 106 years old!

My favourites are the ones from America from the 1950's but there's a fantastic Victorian birthday postcard which I love too.  As its Easter, I thought this one deserved a special show saying "Loving thoughts and wishes true, On this Easter come to you".

I think I can see another collection starting!

Happy Easter - I'm in chocolate over load now!

Sparkles Christmas Challenge - Colour Me Happy

Can you believe its the 1st April already?  Well, first of the month means its time for a new challenge at Sparkes Christmas challenges blog.  Our challenge for this month is:

COLOUR ME HAPPY

We want to see you favourite colour combinations on your Christmas cards for this challenge - for me it has to be traditional colors - Red, Green and White.

There are two fab prizes for or lucky winners from this challenge:

The image I've used is from Bugaboo and I've coloured it with pro markers and the papers are from a Christmas Back to Basics pad from Dovecraft.  The Happy Christmas was done with my Dymo label-tape thingy and the poinsettia die cut is from Marianne's - as are the icicles.
